When I was 8 years old, my family and I took a trip to Hawaii. This was by far my favorite trip. I got to skip school for a few days. The trip to the airport and the plane ride there seemed to take forever but it was well worth it. When we stepped off of the plane and stepped outside, I about passed out. The weather there was so warm. Our hotel was extremely nice. There was a path from the hotel to the beach. I remember there being a swimming area, in the ocean. They had it blocked off for people to swim. The water was a light blue. I enjoyed swimming there until I had a heat stroke and got a really bad sunburn. Another fun thing we got to do while we were there was going to this bay where you could feed fish. There was a shop there that we went to where you buy food for the fish. I was excited at first but then I got freaked out when the fish started wrapping themselves around my legs. It took a while, but I finally stopped freaking out and had a good time.

Here are a couple of pictures of the bay:

We also went to the zoo and to the aquarium. I remember having a great time at the aquarium. The fish were really pretty. The zoo was fun also. Getting to see all of the animals was fun. Sea Life Park was also an interesting experience. There was a dolphin that would follow me wherever I went. He would chatter at me whenever he saw me which was weird. The sea lions were fun too. The people who worked there would let you feed them.

Another fun activity we did was going on a hike to Sacred Falls. It was a beautiful waterfall. I remember there being a swimming area there. You could jump off of the rocks into the water. The water was crystal clear, and really cold. There were a lot of people when we went. On the hike up, there were people who would sell coconut milk to you, if you were thirsty. I thought that was pretty cool. There were also banana trees that grew on the side of the trail. I had never seen them before so I was interested in them.

We also went to a luau. It was fun. There were a lot of people, a lot of hula dancing and a lot of food. Everyone was really friendly.

There was a marketplace where we were that was interesting. They sold all kinds of cool little things. There were a lot of people that went to the market. I remember it being packed.

The dole plantation was interesting too. They let you walk around the plantation. When we went inside, they had pineapple laying out for people to eat. They also had a machine where you could get pineapple juice to drink.

The Diamond Head crater was also cool. It was a long hike but once we got there, it was amazing. The view was awesome.

Hey Amber, I downloaded your google earth file at it looks like there is only one place marker on your map. Try to upload a new.kmv file with all the markers. Remember to make sure all the place markers are highlighted in google earth before you save the file.
